The studio booth during Milan Design Week
Salone Satellite, Salone del Mobile Milano
After attending Milan Design Week, Taoz submitted materials to a committee that included 13 international curators from the fields of Architecture and Design. The studio was chosen sooner than expected, and on the strength of her first submission the committee invited her to set up a booth as part of a satellite exhibition for young outstanding designers. The event was supposed to take place in 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID pandemic and finally took place in 2022, where Taoz presented selected light works from the studio at the largest design event in the world. As a result of her participation, Taoz won the Cultural Export of Plastic Art Prize awarded to her by the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Foundation for Independent Artists.
A light sculpture for the living room of a luxury apartment | Architect Shani Zadoki
Thank you, thank you, thank you!. It looks… wow! I have no words to thank you for the joy that the lighting fixtures bring me. – Jenny Golz
This is an adjustable lighting sculpture which combines blown glass and handmade painting. The item was produced for a creative client who loves art and design, and wanted a lighting sculpture with presence and boldness for the center of her living room. The piece is unforgettable, and catches the eye of anyone who visits her apartment.
A sculptural lamp for a bedroom in northern Tel Aviv | Mi Alma Interior Design, Orna Mazor Home Styling
I love every one of your products: the lamps, the sculptures, the vases – everything is amazing! - Lee Massas
Mialma Studio interior designer Lee Massas designed an eclectic Tel Aviv apartment that combines modern style with a Mediterranean atmosphere. She chose to incorporate Big Sister in the bedroom, a playful design that opposes the concept of Big Brother as featured in George Orwell’s novel 1984. Big Sister presents an alternative to Big Brother with a gentler and more intimate approach, embodying the role of a companion and supporter rather than an all-seeing supervisor. An article on the project was published in the Mako Living Magazine.

Thank you very much for everything – you’re the best! –Netali Gur
For the apartment in Pisgat Dan Towers, Taoz designed a number of elegant lighting fixtures combining blown glass and handmade painting. The Moon light sculpture was chosen for the living room, attached to the ceiling with an artistic and unique presence that has no parallel. The sculpture casts soft light and shadow on the ceiling while powerfully illuminating the entire living room space.
Chen Taoz's booth at the Fresh Paint Fair,
The largest art and design fair in Israel
Tal Golani, curator of the Fresh Paint Fair design complex, approached Chen Taoz with an offer to participate in the exhibition and set up her own booth. Taoz decided to use this stage for the new collection she was about to launch in collaboration with the Nulah Studio for Hand Weaving, and thus designed a booth dedicated mainly to “Origa” (light and weaving in Hebrew), which captivated designers, architects and design enthusiasts who came to visit the fair. The collection is currently on display at the Rezort Design Gallery at Migdal 2, Neve Tzedek, Tel Aviv.
Light Texture, Chen Taoz's solo exhibition
Curated by Dr. Dalia Manor, Vitrina Gallery IL
The lighting sculptures at different heights were originally intended to be displayed also in daylight when the sunlight returns from the shiny metal strips that are bent by hand. At night, the lighting emerges from within and affects the entire environment with lights and shadows. –from the text of the Vitrina Gallery exhibition, 2022-2023, written by curator Dr. Dalia Manor.
Big Sister in a luxury apartment
Architect Shani Zadoki
After the project was completed, and the light sculptures and lighting fixtures created especially for the client were installed, she decided that she wanted to add another piece that would please her while was reading or resting in her armchair. The Big Sister standing lamp was the perfect choice with its artistic and bold color combination matching the colors of the space. The lampshade is adjustable and the light beam illuminates exactly the area that needs it.
A sculptural lighting fixture for a dining area at a private house in Reut
Jenny and Gil had finished building their dream house, and were looking for a special light fixture to complement their dining area. They chose Trio, a one-of-a-kind sculptural light fixture, made with natural brass with an oxide finish and hand-brushed. The lighting sculpture illuminates the dining area, which is two meters in diameter, adding pleasant lighting that can be dimmed as needed. The luxurious look of geometric elements that seem frozen in space, completes the story of the customers’ dream home.
